Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
I’m going to visit with my family in Michigan this weekend, from Friday to Monday, and am very much looking forward to seeing everyone. I am the only Florida resident in the family. I always love being ‘Nana’ to my grand kids for a few days, and am anxiously awaiting the birth of Isla Rose, grand child #4. She could make an appearance while I’m there! Are you able to spend time with your family?
And, I’ll be flying with Allegiant, the airline that was highlighted in a 60 Minutes segment recently, and not in a good way. I had some trepidation for a day or so, but then realized that this flight is no different than any others I take. The outcome is always in God’s hands. No worries. How do you handle worrisome situations?
Lately I’ve been noticing a few more aches and pains in some of my joints, which I’m sure are natural changes that occur as you get older. Ugh. I had purchased some joint health tablets awhile back and put them away, thinking I didn’t need them. Well, I think it’s time to start taking them again! What do you do to keep your body from slowing you down?
I continue to progress on my Natural Face Lift, now into Week 7. It is a commitment for sure, but you know what? It doesn’t take more than 15 minutes out of my day, and I can see a noticeable change in my face. Lines are less pronounced, my skin looks different, ‘glows’ if you will, and I’m starting to see some improvement in the neck wrinkles, too.
Now, if you really don’t care what your face looks like and are fine with how it is aging, I respect that. But, if you want to retain a youthful look and don’t want any artificial, expensive treatments, you owe it to yourself to try this method. Are you ready to look more youthful? (and, it doesn’t matter what your age is, it’s never too soon to take care of your skin)
One Special Thing: Discovering a new signature fragrance
My perfume choice for the last 40 years or so has been discontinued. It’s kind of like losing a friend…it’s been with me for so many of my life experiences. But, time to move on.
I don’t have much time to shop, so when I discovered Phlur, read more about the product and how it is environmentally friendly in every way, I decided to purchase a tester pack of 3 fragrances. It seems strange to say, ‘I’ll take that one” without using your nose. But I made my decisions based on the fragrance descriptions. Note: I liked 2, disliked 1.
How did the story turn out? Well, I now have a new scent about me, and it’s Moab by Phlur. It’s definitely a change for me, although there is a bit of spiciness to the scent that is reminiscent of my former fragrance.
If you are curious, read more about PHLUR, and perhaps give their scents a try.
