Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
Do you have grand kids? I have four…Isla Rose, my newest, is just a few weeks old. I was able to visit with them all last weekend when I went to MI to see my family. It can be difficult living 1,100 miles away from the family. But, it makes my visits with everyone that much more special.
I wanted to have a picture of me and the kids…you know, record those memories as keepsakes. It’s always a challenge to get kids to sit still and smile for the camera, and this bunch was no different. But we managed to get one that looks pretty good:
Oh, and grand kids are awesome! I love how I can love them, spend time with them, play with them, sing with them, teach them..then turn them back over to Mom and Dad!
I’m always on the lookout for helpful information, advice, tips, style ideas, etc for my readers. This morning I came across a Facebook post with a link to an article with tips for cleaning your house. It looked so helpful that I decide I’d share it, but wanted to go to the site and read the post first, just to make sure of what I was passing along.
Well, there were so many ads…I mean SO many ads on this post, that it literally took over a minute to load. And once it loaded, the article itself was hard to find amidst all the other stuff.
I’m all for treating a blog like a business and making some money along the way, but this was way past too much. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting that site again.
I’m still doing my facial exercises just about every day, and it is really quite amazing how they are working to give my face a more youthful appearance. It’s been about 10 weeks, which really isn’t that long, so I am very pleased with the change to my face. These ‘mug shots’ are not particularly flattering, but they are an effective way to demonstrate how this natural face lift works:
I always take the pictures in the same room, same lighting, same amount of makeup on my face, so you are seeing real changes to the look of my face. This is a simple program of facial exercises that will work for men and women. Anyone over the age of 40 would benefit from this system. Do yourself a favor and order Facial Magic today!
One Special Thing – The Back Porch, Yard & Patio
Are you enjoying the warm weather most of us are experiencing? I live in SW Florida so it’s always warm here, but I lived in SE Michigan for 50 years, and summer was always such a welcome and refreshing time for us! I always loved, and still enjoy, sitting outside and enjoying the fresh midwest air.
I found some interesting DIY projects for the porch, patio and yard to share with you. This pergola is a relatively simple project that adds such style and personality to a patio. The fabric panels are a colorful touch, too.
The colors are pretty cool..neutrals with accents of burnt orange, aqua and black. I really like the vibe.
Until next time,
Hope you enjoyed Coffee with Candi. Subscribe to Inspire My Style and I’ll deliver this right to your inbox every week!
