I received my Causebox Summer 2018 edition, and I have to say, it was an absolute delight! The package had arrived about a week previously, but I’d been so busy, out of town, etc., that it sat and waited patiently for me to finally open it up.
By the way, if you are not familiar with CAUSEBOX, it is a quarterly subscription for women that includes sustainable and ethical products committed to making the world a better place. I love that about this program! Every item in each box includes the background of where it was made, by whom if applicable, so I know exactly who is benefiting from my purchase.
The cost is far below retail value, too, so I am confident that my $55 has been well spent.

CAUSEBOX Summer 2018 Contents
The packaging is simple and most is recyclable. This is how the items look when the box is first opened. And, it is not a ‘box in a box’, so there is no extra material to discard or recycle. I like that. There is very little waste. I also received coupons from several of the brands – they are noted at the end of applicable product descriptions.
Here are the items that I received with the Causebox Summer 2018 edition:
Fair Seas Supply Co. Turkish Towel sustainably make from certified organic cotton. It is large enough to use as a blanket, beach towel, cover up, and more. Wash it over and over, and it just feels better! Retail value of $44. Coupon enclosed for 25% off first purchase from their website.
Tassel necklace from Kevia that can be worn in six different ways, and is stored in a reusable fabric bag. Kevia Jeffrey-West, founder and owner of Kevia, spent much research time, including site visits, before selecting China as the source for the materials and production of this versatile necklace.
The tassels can be worn several ways in the front, worn as a decorative element in the back, and the jewelry can also be worn as a bracelet. Retail value $55.
Exclusive Design for Causebox: A reversible fold-over clutch from Tribe Alive. It is handmade by artisans in Jaipur, India, and can be used as a clutch, or use the beautiful gold chain as use as a shoulder bag. Retail value $128.
Almond Shower Oil from L’Occitane, a French company owned by Olivier Baussan. A fair trade partnership with women in that country that is celebrated every year on International Women’s Day. Every component of the almond is used in the production of this company’s products. Pretty cool. Retail value $18. Coupon enclosed for $10 off any $40 purchase.

Three summer-ready nail polishes from Zoya, a company that is pioneering the elimination of toxic ingredients from nail products. Every nail polish from Zoya is free of scary chemicals, made in the USA, vegan and cruelty free. Retail value $30.

Retail value $28. Coupon enclosed for 25% off website purchase.
A reusable water bottle from D. Stil that reduces plastic waste. It also contributes to Water.org, to help provide global access to clean water. To date, they have impacted over 12 million people with access to safe drinking water and sanitation systems.
Plus, it’s a pretty pink color! I recently quit buying and drinking from plastic bottles, so another reusable water bottle is alright with me:) Retail value $15. Coupon received for 20% off an online purchase.
Art print that can be framed or mailed to a friend – it’s post card ready. Artist Coco Davez, based in Spain, has an unmistakable bold style, using primary colors in her work. Retail value $10.
Being the fashion model that I am (ha!), thought I’d show you a few of the items from this edition. I’m wearing the Kevia necklace, carrying the Tribe Alive reversible clutch and sporting the pretty Zoya nail polish on my toes.
So there you have it – the contents of the Summer Causebox 2018. You can probably see why I was so happy when I saw the contents. Not only is each product ethically produced, I have the option to use these items myself or keep them to use as lovely, unique gifts for family and friends. I am going to do both 🙂
The Summer edition sold out so quickly that Causebox put together a 2nd edition for the Summer, which is currently selling but will probably end soon because of demand. The items in the 2nd edition are similar to these.
