Coffee with Candi 1-4-2019

(Last Updated On: January 3, 2019)

Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.

Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.

And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂

What’s on my mind this week:

Coffee with Candi Inspire My Style

Happy New Year to you! We’re fresh into 2019 and full of goals, aspirations and lists, aren’t we? New Years resolutions are easy to make, but oh-so-difficult to keep.

I think we’re better to set goals for things we want to change and improve about ourselves as they become apparent and a priority in our lives, whenever that may be. You can read more of my thoughts here: Why do we need New Years resolutions?

What’s important and a priority in my life at the moment? These are not in any order, by the way, just my thoughts…

  • settling in and furnishing my new home in Michigan
  • getting my time blocking schedule back on track for the work day…it’s been a bit lost for awhile with the holidays and moving across the country
  • finishing the creation of my online course, Inspire Your Life, a self development course for women in midlife
  • spending time with my family, now that I am close by
  • staying true to a healthy eating plan
  • re-establishing my daily workout routine…this also fell off during the move
  • establishing a local presence as a Design Consultant/Interior Decorator

How about you? What is a priority for you at present? Have you set any related goals? Let us know in the comments section below.

Inspire My Style coffee time

You may know that I am a coffee snob. It is no secret that I am very particular about the coffee that I consume. So it’s been a bit trying this week, as the brand new coffee system I purchased ended up to be a lemon, and I had to order a replacement.

Of course with the weekend and New Years holiday things took longer to get processed and shipped.

So I’ve been driving to Panera and Starbucks to feed the caffeine addiction. That gets pricey really quickly.

Fortunately my replacement system arrived today and it works perfectly.

I really love the coffee and espresso that my Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker with the Aeroccino frother produces. It is so smooth, and the aeroccino milk frother adds that special finishing touch that also enhances the taste and coffee experience.

I know, I know…all that for a cup of coffee. But it is really a wonderful, full bodied taste. With the espresso option you can do it all. The system looks like this:

Nespresso Vertuo Plus with Aeruccino frotherThere are a variety of models available, some with fewer bells and whistles, and some with more. This system is perfect for me, though, and I wanted to share it with anyone who really appreciates a fine cup of java!

I look at it this way: I don’t spend a lot of money on other things…clothes, hair, eating out, sports and the like. So I splurge on my java. 🙂

The Nespresso coffee systems would make a wonderful gift for someone special, too.

Hope you enjoyed Coffee with Candi. Subscribe to Inspire My Style and I’ll deliver this right to your inbox every week!
