Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
Well, the mad rush to shop, clean, travel, cook, wrap, host, eat and unwrap is behind us. Whew!
I trust that you all had a happy, safe and healthy holiday celebration.
I spent a few days on the road with my brother, making the trek from South Florida to Michigan.
Here we are as we prepared to leave the Florida condo for the last time.
We had a great time on our ‘road trip’ and I’m in the process of closing on the sale of my Florida condo and the purchase of my Michigan condo. Again I say, whew!
Our family holiday was great and we made some happy memories. Now it’s on to my new adventure as I settle into my wintery life in Michigan.
One more holiday milestone ahead of us, New Years Eve and New Years Day. It seems like 2018 has flown by, and we’re on the cusp of 2019.
A few weeks ago I put some thoughts down as I was pondering the upcoming new year. Take a moment to read through these New Years Inspirations for Women in Midlife. I specifically chose to use the word ‘inspirations’ rather than ‘resolutions’, because I wanted these thoughts to motivate and inspire you to create your own goals, or resolutions, for the new year.
One Special Thing – Rose Hill Design Studio
If you follow me on Facebook you know that I regularly share inspirational and uplifting posts for my followers. One of my favorites to share is from the Facebook page of Heather Stillufsen, owner of the Rose Hill Design Studio on Etsy.
I love her style, her positive outlook for women, the inspiring quotes that often appear on her posts, her artistic talent, and of course, her products that are offered on the Etsy shop.
Here are a few examples of Heather’s work. I just love her style!
Products offered include:
- wall and planner type calendars
- holiday cards & inspirational art
- Autumn cards & inspirational art
- …and more!
If you are searching for the perfect gift for a woman that is pretty and feminine as well as inspiring (and in some cases functional), you will definitely want to see what Heather has to offer in the Rose Hill Design Studio. But beware…I guarantee you’ll find a few things you can’t live without for yourself!
