Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂

What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
As I am working diligently to create valuable content and grow my blog, I am also running a business in SW Florida. When you own a business, the ultimate responsibility and accountability falls on your shoulders. There is no one to hand the ball over to, if you know what I mean.
I’ve recently experienced a slowing down in new business opportunities, which hasn’t occurred in several years. I don’t know the underlying cause, but as the main source of my income I am working to find ways to: 1) lower my fixed expenses and, 2) find opportunities for new business. It’s always a challenge, and I have found that being flexible, adaptable and willing to consider every option is the way to go.
Fortunately I’ve been able to visit regularly and stay in touch with my folks, siblings, children and grand kids. I’m anxiously awaiting the birth of my 4th grandchild, Isla Rose, who will be making an appearance any day now!
My blog includes a variety of topics, as you know. Health, aging gracefully, staying in shape, family, fashion, home decorating…I cover quite a lot of territory! As a blogger, I always want to provide the type of content that my readers are looking for. I’m polling site visitors to see what they would like to read about. So far the results are pretty evenly divided!
If you haven’t done so already, check out the top of any page you visit at Inspire My Style (including this one) and you’ll see a bright purple bar across the top, inviting you to ‘Take the Poll’. I would love it if you’d take a minute to check off your preferences!
I recently subscribed to CauseBox, a limited edition curation of products for subscribers that is delivered four times a year. I know, there are a lot of these types of services offered these days. I think there is a new one just about every week!
Here is what sets CauseBox apart from the crowd. Every product in the box is provided by a leading, socially conscious brand, some designed exclusively for this program. And, every product inside each CauseBox tells a story along with helping to create a better world. The products are offered for a total price of $49.95, a greatly reduced price from their retail value of about $150.
I’m excited to receive my Spring CauseBox (it will include clothing, jewelry, essential oils, beauty products and more) and will share it with you when it arrives! If you want to know more about this unique subscription program, click on any of the highlighted links like this one: CauseBox.
While evaluating my home staging inventory, an advantage I have is that I own everything 🙂 So, if I want to put a piece of furniture, an accessory, artwork, etc into my home, I do it. Right now I have an abundance of accent chairs in stock. So I took a pair of slipper chairs with french script fabric and put them in my Living Room. It’s nice to change things up once in a while.
I love the simple style, the size and of course the fabric! These are Salkin slipper chairs from Wayfair, one of my favorite places to buy furniture, or anything, really. They have a tremendous selection and wonderful pricing.
In order to make room for the slipper chairs, I had to remove one chair, so I put it in the Kitchen by the Coffee Bar:
This chair is from Pier 1, another great source for accent chairs. I bought this chair a couple of years ago so it is no longer in stock, but they have a stylish assortment of choices available. And, if there is a Pier 1 store near you, it is possible to see, touch, feel and sit before you buy.
So, that’s what I’ve been doing with furniture this week 🙂
