Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
I am working toward moving my business from local (home staging and interior decorating) to an online presence, and a significant contributor to that presence is online courses. There are so many millions of people online who are looking to learn new skills, and I want to share my years of experience in the design/home staging field with aspiring entrepreneurs.
My focus will be specifically geared toward women in midlife…women who are looking for an opportunity to use their natural creative talents and make a nice income utilizing them.
The first course I’m creating is for women who know they have creative abilities, an eye for design, and the desire to be their own boss. But, they’re not sure which type of business would be best for them. I’ll help my students decide whether an interior decorating business or a home staging business is the best path to take for them.
It is a lot of work to create but I’m learning quite a bit about the technical aspects of online teaching, and am excited about putting it out there for the world to see, and hopefully enroll in!
I’m traveling again this week, spending time with my folks and family in MI. It is the first time I’ve been able to use my under seat carry on bag and I was excited to give it a try, but a bit nervous about the bag fitting under the seat of an Allegiant airplane. Allegiant has some of the narrowest under seat spaces among the airlines. So, I decided to go ahead and pay the carry on fee just in case I got on the plane and it didn’t fit.
But…it fit really well!
I love this little bag. It is chock full of zippered pockets and areas to tuck things in, and stay organized. My laptop fit in just fine, as did all the other little things I travel with. It has a box-like shape so it fits quite a bit inside. And it has wheels and a handle, nice and easy 🙂
I’m thrilled that I decided to purchase this cute little carry on bag. It has so many other uses, too, besides airline travel. Take a peek and see what you think.
I was in Target yesterday (like I am just about every day of my life) and I noticed some new merchandising in the women’s clothing area. The focus of the display was on dresses – mostly maxi length. The colors and patterns were rich, summery and very appealing.
So I decided to share them with you, in case you’re looking for something fresh to wear to an outdoor wedding, graduation, garden party, or any event, really. You can dress them up or down with your choice of shoes, accessories and jewelry.
And, you just can’t beat the price of clothes at Target. If wearing dresses is your thing, have a look at these pretty choices from Target!
Until next time,
