Coffee with Candi 7-27-2018
Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
Gosh, it’s been a busy week! I think it’s because I was gone for the previous week, and even though I can work online from any location, my local staging business waited for my return. So it was work, work, work for several days, preparing for a large job. That was completed yesterday so I can breathe again.
Having said that, though, my online business is a full time job, so I’m not sitting around eating bon-bons 🙂
As I mentioned last week, I’m transitioning from a locally based business to a destination based business. As such, I believe I’ve completed my last home staging job. I’ll still take on design clients as that is a different type of work, and I’ll fit the clients into the schedule when I’m able. So I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my life!
What’s been happening in your life lately?
As if I didn’t have enough going on in my life between my work and family, I decided that it was time to update the look and feel of Inspire My Style, including the logo.
I wanted to use a lighter color palette, and although the lady in my logo was very stylish, I always felt that the steaming coffee might be mistaken for cigarette smoke. Yuk.
So I contracted with an artist to create a new logo, and I’m pretty happy with it. And yes, it looks like me, right down to the hair and glasses. Pretty hilarious.
I still have quite a bit of work to do, to get the look and feel of the site where I want it, but am happy so far with the changes.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
One Special Thing – Meaningful Beauty Skin Care System
For awhile now I’ve been searching for skin care products that will benefit my over 60 face. I’ve tried a number of different regimens and products, and have found one or two that I like, but it is one (expensive) product, and not an entire system.
So, I recently decided to try a system for maturing skin that’s been around for awhile. I’ve passed by the infomercials, skimmed the ads in magazines, but never really paid attention to it.
I was at the airport a week or so ago, waiting for my flight, and the TV in the terminal was on, showing Cindy Crawford and her ‘Meaningful Beauty’ skin care system. So…I was a captive audience for about 10 minutes.
And, I found that I liked what I was hearing about the product as well as the price. A few days later I ordered the system to try, and the total cost for everything shown here + a couple of freebies was less than $50. This supply should last about 30 days.
This is a subscription program, so every 90 days or so (whatever I decide) I’ll receive a new supply.
So…I will give Meaningful Beauty a try and let you know what I think of it. I’m willing to pay for something that works!
Have you used Meaningful Beauty? Or, another skin care system that you love? Tell us about it!
Hope you enjoyed Coffee with Candi. Subscribe to Inspire My Style and I’ll deliver this right to your inbox every week!

3 years agoHi Candi, another enjoyable coffee with you. I noticed your new logo earlier this week and love the colours. I did like your previous one and I never actually thought about the steaming coffee and cigarette smoke. I’m always changing things up on my website (as you may have noticed 🙂 ) but it is good to keep it dynamic. I’m keen to hear more about your new destination based business. Have a great weekend and look forward to our coffee next week.
