Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
I gave it a go for about 2 weeks, and it was a fail for me for two reasons:
- Too many products. I’ve realized that when it comes to caring for my skin, simple is what I want. 1, or 2…3 at the very most is all I want to do on a daily basis. I was confused on an ongoing basis with the basketful of products from MB as well as the layering (one on top of the other) of them.
- The products left my face feeling greasy, and I didn’t like that. Of course I want my face and neck to feel moisturized and soft, but this was beyond that.
As with any product or system, it may work wonderfully for some and not for others. Meaningful Beauty did not work for me. Anyone else using it successfully? I’d love to hear about it.
For me, I am back to my simple face cleaner + Dr. Perricone. He also has quite a number of products available, but I use just one, and I really love it – the Brightening Amine Face Lift, used both morning and night on my face and neck. I believe it really does help me to look younger by smoothing and firming my skin.
How about you? Is there a particular skin care product or system that you love? Tell us about it!
I didn’t want to work out today…didn’t feel like exercising or doing my facial exercises. But, I know that with my change in work emphasis I don’t get the physical exercise on the job like I did when doing a lot of staging projects. And, I know what will happen if I keep sitting in the office, no matter how much work I have to do. At my age, the pounds will magically appear, even though I’m careful about what I eat.
So, I changed my clothes, put on the hat, sunglasses, grabbed the water bottle and a cloth to keep the sweat out of my eyes, and went for a 2 mile walk. Look – I even took a picture to show you that I really did it 🙂
It was hot and pretty humid outside, but the breeze was strong and the air smelled great. I also find that I can think and plan pretty well while walking, so that’s another benefit for me. It helps to clear my head, gives me some exercise, and allows me to focus and plan.
How about you? Is there a particular activity that helps you focus and plan? Clear the head and de-stress? Share the details!
One Special Thing – Facial Magic!
If you’ve been following my blog or Facebook, you’ll know that my involvement with the Facial Magic program is not new. I’ve been doing my facial exercises for about five months now. And, that is precisely why I want to highlight it today. IT WORKS!
This natural face lift doesn’t include any fillers, surgeries, gadgets, creams, or anything else other than a very specific, and guided, set of facial exercises that will slowly help to minimize lines on your face and neck + firm up these areas. The cost is less than $150.
I’ve documented my journey with Facial Magic as well as provided additional details about the creator of the program. It really does work, and all you have to do is be committed to it. And why wouldn’t you be? Your face and neck will love you for it! Read more about this Natural Face Lift.
