Welcome to Coffee with Candi, a time for us to have a chat every week on Friday and catch up.
Well, I’ll have a chat with you about my week…what’s been happening, the good the bad the exciting, the boring…most importantly, what have I learned about life, my family, my friends, work, health, looking my best…I’ll spill it honestly and openly with you. Always with a fresh cup of hot, black coffee in my hand. I think better with java in my paw.
And, I’ll share one special thing that has brightened up my week, so it can potentially make you smile, too. It might be a new gadget, a piece of furniture, a nifty clothing find, a recipe, or something to make your life easier. It’s my gift to you that will keep on giving. 🙂
What’s on my mind this week:
in no particular order…however the thoughts came into my little head
They were being sent out every time I published a new post; I am now going to be notifying you of new material on the blog on Tuesday and Friday each week. I don’t want to be a bother or overwhelm you with my stuff, so thought it might be a good idea to limit those emails to twice a week.
Hopefully you’ll be willing to open and review each link in that message!
Have you ever kept a food journal? I haven’t, not with any real dedication. But, I decided to record the food I’m eating…started about 4 days ago…with a goal of paying more attention to what I shove in my mouth on a daily basis. It’s not that I eat so much food, but I have a tendency to graze as I walk through the kitchen, and that adds up over the course of a day.
And, I know as I am getting older, that grazing tends to stay with me, if you know what I mean.
Food journaling is also something I’m incorporating into my online course for women in midlife, and I always prefer to speak from experience.
For me, if I am going to write down what I am going to eat, it makes me stop and think twice before making that decision. The ability to see an entire day’s worth of what I consumed in one simple column on a piece of paper (yes, I am doing it the old fashioned way, and I like it!) is kind of enlightening.
What is your experience with a food journal?
For many of us, the Autumn season is fast approaching…the air will begin to turn cooler, leaves will turn into beautiful shades of orange and red, and we might even take a trip to the cider mill. 🙂
To get us all in the mood for celebrating the change of season, I curated a lovely collection of home decor for you.
It really was fun to search out the most interesting examples of centerpieces, accent pillows, area rugs and more.
Take a peek at the photos, follow some of the links and you might be quickly inspired to transform your home’s interior for Fall!
